Ok now I ordered several different styles,prices ; makers of watches I havent had any luck getting directions on how to set,warranty or box to wrap them in ? Wth this one the top button does nothing,my son does know how to set them but that does no good for the person who receives them. This watch looks nice but it needs to function. I"m done trying to save a buck.....
Very high cool factor on this watch for such a low price. Although some may find it a little too geeky. It basically tells you the time and date but in a very unique way. When you press the top button to display the time, all the LEDs light up sequentially before displaying the time. Pressing the button again will display the date. The LEDs automatically shut off after about 5 seconds. It takes some time getting used to reading the time on this watch. There are markings engraved in the watch next to the LEDs to help you read the time or date, but the markings are somewhat hard to see in the light and impossible to see in the dark.
The watch is all metal, pretty hefty, seems solidly built, and very substantial looking on the wrist. It doesn't at all look like a watch that costs under 10 bucks. I had to remove a few links to resize the band to fit my wrist, which I did myself using special watch tools and it only took me a few minutes. If you don't have the tools, you'll probably need to take it to a jeweler. I haven't had it long enough to know how long the battery will last, but I guess that depends on how often I check the time. Looking ahead, it looks like it may be a difficult task getting the back cover open to replace the battery.
The watch just comes shipped in an open baggie, no box. So consider that if you're thinking of buying this as a gift for someone else. I bought it as a gift for myself so no big deal. Also, it didn't come with any instructions. I was able to figure it out just by playing around with it a bit. There are only two buttons to press, so it isn't all that complicated. Besides setting the time and date, you can set it to automatically flash the time at specific intervals or only when you press a button and can also adjust the brightness of the LEDs.
As for accuracy, I've only had it for about two weeks, but it seems to be keeping pretty good time.
