i need to make this review short and simple but i just wanted to say how much i love my watch. im training for the marathon but cant afford one of those gps watches so i opted to purchase this one with a pedometer on it. i originally read a really bad review on it saying that the directions were hard to follow so i was nervous. BUT i received it, and it was SO EASY TO USE. my next concern was that i would have to calibrate the pedometer which i hate doing, but when i went on the treadmill it was to the point even when i changed speeds. now when i go out with my running group my pedometer reads the same as their gps watches! plus, its not as big and bulky as those other watches, but the numbers showing are big. I LOVE THIS WATCH! if it ever broke, i would definitely purchase another one.
i like this. no issues for me at. got rid of garmin forerunner 305 bc it was too big for my wrist.
this watch is simple. you calibrate and record your pace + walking distance, then i guess the acclerator uses that to calculate your future runs.
but bc the measurements are based off on YOUR calibration, beware that your final distance/cal/time may be off each and every run (unless you run at the same pace EVERY time). i once ran 9.5 miles but it recorded 10.5. you just have to calibrate as accurately as you can. if you're not really big on keeping super accurate distance and time, but happy with just knowing ballpark figures, then this is perfect for you.
